This is our main monthly meeting. We will have experienced investors Bob Erwin, Christopher Doss, Jacob Mullins, Shaylene Tootle-Grbus, and Ron Fields joining us. This meeting is free for members and $25 for non-members.

Experienced Investor Panel

Have you ever wanted to take an experienced investor out and "pick their brain"?  How would you like the opportunity to pick 5, count 'em (1, 2, 3, 4, 5), 5 real estate investor brains on stage at one meeting?  I'm sure that if your like most investors out there, you said yes and that you'd love the opportunity to do that.  Well, here's your chance.  We have 5 experienced investors willing to expose their brains for prodding.  Mark your calendars, get your questions ready and make sure that you preregister for the event.

We are shaking things up at this event.  In lieu of Chick-Fil-A, the Triad REIA will provide one drink ticket to ALL PREREGISTERED ATTENDEES.  After the meeting at the Piedmont Triad Apartment Association, we will have a social at Goofy Foot Taproom located at 2762 NC 68 #109 High Point NC 27265.  This is completely optional, but highly recommended.  Pssst...  the key to finding deals, money, partners, mentors, and friends is NETWORKING.  Come have a drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) on us.  Please drink responsibly.

Bob Erwin founded MB Enterprizes, LLC 14 years ago with a goal to recycle, rejuvenate and renew residential properties. Bob transforms a “don’t wanter” into a home that a tenant or new owner will be very PROUD to live in. You will enjoy Bob’s laugh and leadership as he shares his expertise on this panel!



 
Christopher Doss, along with his wife Mattie, founded Options Properties, LLC in 2012 to serve as their retirement plan. This long-term view caused them to focus on buy and hold strategies. Their first investment step was to join the Triad REIA to obtain valuable information and to meet potential contacts. By April 2013, they had four houses: two SFR's and two rooming houses.In 2016, they purchased five duplexes, and in 2020 they purchased another property. Today, they have ten total properties to fund their retirement plans.



 
Jacob Mullins has been an investor for 16 years, focusing on both residential and commercial properties in the Triad as well as Myrtle Beach and Chicago markets. He buys, flips, holds, wholesales, and loves finding a way to help people in everything he does. His team at New South Property Solutions closes 2-6 deals each week, and he holds about 180 doors right now.




Shaylene Tootle-Grbus from TooShay Solutions, LLC, is a full time real estate investor, landlord, lender, flipper, and wholesaler. She is a Triad REIA Sponsor Member with her husband Dean Grbus of Quid Pro Quo Services, General Contractor, and is a former Triad REIA board member.



 
Ron Fields adds a broad and historic perspective to our panel. Ron began in residential real estate in 1971 and later moved to commercial markets. He is a general contractor (GC) and Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), author, teacher, syndicator, and active investor.

I HEREBY ASSUME ALL OF THE RISKS OF PARTICIPATING AND/OR VOLUNTEERING IN THIS EVENT OR ACTIVITY, including by way of example and not limitation, any risks that may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities being released from dangerous or defective equipment or property owned, maintained, or controlled by them, or because of their possible liability without fault. I certify that I am at least 18 years of age, physically fit, and capable of participating in the event. I certify that there are no health-related reasons or problems that preclude my participation in this activity or event. I acknowledge that this Waiver and Release of Liability will be used by the event holders, sponsors and organizers of the activity or event in which I may participate, and that will govern my actions and responsibilities at said event or activity.

In consideration of being allowed to participate in this event or activity, I hereby, for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns, take the following action: (A) I WAIVE, RELEASE AND DISCHARGE Triad REIA, Inc and/or its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, and agents, the activity or event holders, activity or event sponsors, activity or event volunteers (together with Triad REIA, the "Released Parties"), from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of one or more of the Released Parties, for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to me including my traveling to and from the event or activity, and (B) INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS, AND PROMISE NOT TO SUE, the Released Parties from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in this event or activity, whether caused by the negligence of one or more Released Parties or otherwise.

I acknowledge that Triad REIA and their directors, officers, volunteers, representatives, and agents are NOT responsible for the errors, omissions, acts, or failures to act of any party or entity conducting a specific event or activity on behalf of Triad REIA. I acknowledge that this event or activity will include visiting, inspecting and/or being on property not owned or controlled by Triad REIA and may expose me to conditions or event that could cause serious injury or death. The risks may include, but are not limited to, those caused by terrain, facilities, temperature, weather, condition of participants, equipment, vehicular traffic, actions of other people including, but not limited to, participants, volunteers, event officials, and event monitors, and/or producers of the event. These risks are not only inherent to participants but are also present for volunteers.

I hereby consent to receive medical treatment that may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during this event or activity. I understand that at this event or related activities I may be photographed. I agree to allow my photo, video, or film likeness to be used for any legitimate purpose by the event holders, producers, sponsors, organizers, and assigns.

The Waiver of Release of Liability shall be governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina without regard to principles of conflict of laws and shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to be maximum legally permissible.

I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT, AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENT. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT AND I SIGN ON MY OWN FREE WILL.
