Jennifer Ruby graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2006 & graduated, cum laude, from the Elon University School of Law in 2010. She is admitted to practice in all North Carolina State Courts (including the North Carolina Court of Appeals & North Carolina Supreme Court), all North Carolina Federal District Courts & the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. She frequently appears in small claims, District & Superior Court throughout North Carolina.

Jennifer’s practice primarily focuses on civil litigation, landlord/tenant matters, estate litigation disputes, partition proceedings, incompetency matters & post judgment collections. Her landlord/tenant practice focuses primarily on representing landlords in both conventional & subsidized housing. She also represents numerous manufactured home communities throughout the state. Jennifer routinely advises her clients on current applicable state & federal regulations. She frequently represents clients in appeals to both District Court & the North Carolina Court of Appeals.

Jennifer is passionate about giving back to the community. She has repeatedly been recognized as a member of the North Carolina Pro Bono Honor Society for providing 50 or more hours of pro bono legal services each year, was a volunteer attorney with the Women’s Resource Center for several years & has frequently appeared on local news stations to answer various legal questions. Jennifer served for several years as a Preceptor for the Elon University School of Law & is a former president of the Elon Law Alumni Council.
